Ghibli is one thing that is known all over Japan. As you may also know, it has gain quite a bit of popular for some time now among foreigners alike. Because of this ongoing trend it’s no surprise there are many different Ghibli stores all over Japan. That’s why today we decided to check out a Ghibli good’s store called Donguri Republic in Kamakura, Japan.
Donguri Republic has a huge selection of Ghibli goods covering a lot of the different movies to the franchise. Among those goods you can find cute stuffed plush dolls, accessories, and clothing wear. One thing to notice though is the quality of the products. Maybe it’s just me but I’m usually disappointed when I go to like a museum or store that sells goods from different franchises because it’s usually just junk. Donguri is an exception to this, as most of their items, like their backpacks, gloves, sock, and other apparel seem to be made with quality in mind.
As I mentioned they do have a lot of products that pay patreonage to a lot of the different movies, however, I would warn the majority are from My Neighbor Totoro and Kiki’s Delivery Service so keep that in mind. With that said though, this is definitely a place to stop by if you happen to be in the Kamakura area.
